HOLOOP LABS · LEGAL
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1. About this policy
Holoop Labs is an independent software studio based in Malaysia and operates holooplabs.com. This policy explains how personal information may be handled when you visit our website, contact us, or use our software products.
The information processed depends on the product and features you use. A product-specific privacy notice may explain additional details. Read that notice alongside this policy before using the product.
2. Information you provide
When you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message, and attachments you choose to include. We use this information to respond to enquiries, provide support, and resolve issues. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
When online sending is available, the contact form sends your name, email address, subject, and message through Cloudflare to our support inbox. We use these details to respond to your enquiry. Technical request information is used to limit abuse. When online sending is unavailable, use the direct email link; sending an email uses your email provider and ours.
3. Accounts and use of our products
Where a product offers an account, we may process information such as your email address, profile details, sign-in identifiers, preferences, and subscription status to provide and manage that account. Information required for a feature will be identified when you use it.
Products may process content you choose to save or analyse, questions you submit, and information needed to provide the requested results. Product notices should be consulted for the specific data, service providers, and controls involved.
4. Payment processing
Paid products may use third-party payment processors, such as Stripe. The processor used will be identified at checkout and its privacy terms also apply to its processing. Mentioning a processor here does not mean every product uses it.
Where payment details are collected directly by a processor, Holoop Labs does not directly receive or store your full payment-card number or security code. We may receive transaction references, billing contact details, payment status, and limited card information needed for billing and support.
5. Website information, analytics, and cookies
This company website does not currently include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or application-set cookies. Hosting and network providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Individual products may use cookies or similar storage for sign-in, preferences, security, or other disclosed purposes. If optional analytics or other non-essential tracking is introduced, we will explain it and provide choices or request consent where required. Browser settings can control cookies; disabling necessary cookies may affect product features.
6. Browser extensions and apps
Browser extensions and apps may need permissions and content access to perform features you request. For example, Holumiq helps users work with YouTube video summaries, key moments, transcripts, and questions. Depending on the feature, relevant content and questions may need to be processed to return a result.
Review the product-specific privacy notice, permission prompts, and available settings for details before granting access. This general policy does not assert that processing happens only on your device or that all products process the same information.
7. Service providers and disclosures
We may use providers for hosting, email, authentication, payments, storage, and AI processing where relevant to a product. Information may be shared as needed for those services, to respond to a legal obligation, or to protect users and services from misuse.
Providers may operate outside Malaysia. Where cross-border processing applies, we will take steps required by applicable law and describe relevant product arrangements in the applicable notice. This company website does not include advertising, data-sale, or cross-site tracking integrations. Review each product’s notice for its specific disclosures and processing arrangements.
8. Retention and security
Information should be kept only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including support, account operation, record-keeping, dispute resolution, and applicable legal obligations. Retention can differ by information type and product; contact us about a particular record or deletion request.
The safeguards needed depend on the service and information involved. These may include access controls, encrypted connections, and restrictions on who can access personal information. Refer to the applicable product notice or contact us for information about a particular service’s security arrangements. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have rights to access or correct your information, withdraw consent, or request that processing be limited or information deleted. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Send requests to support@holooplabs.com. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request relates to you. If you are concerned about our response, you may contact the relevant data protection authority.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services and practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
